Fire Permit Inspection

All inspection requests must have a MDC Permit, Fire Application, or Fire Municipal number.

Fire Inspection Request:

Inspections must be scheduled the day prior to the inspection before 3:00 p.m.
If the inspector has to verify for additional categories on your permit which may not be required or not pulled (i.e. 0032, 0004, 0043); schedule inspection as a Category Verification. Please make a note in the provided comment box which category needs verification for removal.
Inspections may be cancelled if re-inspection fees are due from prior inspections.
Provide number of stories, square footage, space number and area where project is located in provided comment box.
Cancellations must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. of the same day of inspection request. All cancellations after 1:00 p.m. will result in an automatic re-inspection fee.
Preliminary Inspections are scheduled by calling the Fire Prevention division at (786) 331-4800. They are scheduled based on approval by the Officer in Charge.

SRI Inspection Request:

Weekday SRI inspection must be requested before 1:00 p.m. for same day inspections.
Weekend SRI inspection must be requested by Friday before 1:00 p.m.
SRI inspections are subjected to availability. There is no guarantee that this inspection will be performed on the date requested. You will receive a phone call from one of our staff members to inform you who the inspector will be; or if the SRI inspection cannot be scheduled for that day.
